2026 Concert Series
Ensemble Ibérica’s 2026 Concert Series unfolds as its most expansive season to date, weaving bold collaborations with global musical traditions. From the soulful cry of Galician gaita with Adam Phillips and the lyrical convergence of classical, jazz, and Latin American influences with Carolina Calvache, to the powerful, border-spanning sound of Mireya Ramos, each program invites deep listening and discovery. The season also journeys through the rhythmic intensity of Algerian chaâbi with Khaled Abdelli, the haunting lyricism of Romanian doina with Ana Everling, the refined elegance of the Portuguese guitar through the legacy of master Carlos Paredes, and the sweeping passion of contemporary tango by Adam Tulley—together creating a year defined by connection, culture, and creative exchange.

An 8-Day Ireland & Scotland Journey.
This journey reveals the deep musical ties linking Ireland, Scotland, and the Ozark region, tracing the paths of migration that carried songs, instruments, and storytelling traditions across the Atlantic and into the American heartland. As Irish and Scottish immigrants settled in the Appalachian and Ozark regions, their ballads, fiddle tunes, and dance rhythms evolved into the distinctive folk music of the Ozarks—preserving old-world roots while shaping something entirely new.
Featuring masters of their craft—Brendan McCreanor (uilleann pipes), Betse Ellis (fiddle), Beau Bledsoe (guitar), and Clarke Wyatt (banjo)—this program illuminates the living connection between Celtic and Ozark heritage. Through music and storytelling, the ensemble explores how Irish and Scottish traditions informed American folk music, revealing a shared lineage of rhythm, melody, and community that continues to resonate across Ireland, Scotland, and the Ozarks today
