The Concert was held in Weill Recital Hall at on Thursday May 25th, 2023 to a sold out audience.
Ensemble Iberica presented this performance in collaboration with guitarist Nilko Andreas and his concert series “Amazonas.” The program included the monumental Villa-lobos Guitar Concerto (from Brazil), music from Turkey and Hungary, a premiere of a piece by Bolivian composer and Master “Charango” player Amado Espinoza, and Colombian dances performed by Blanca Gonzalez, as well as tangos from Astor Piazzolla in the voice of Argentinian Mezzo-Soprano Morena Galan.
