Emerging Artist Lab
A hands-on workshop designed to empower the next generation of musicians through collaboration, mentorship, and real-world training. Participants explore new artistic ideas, learn from seasoned professionals, and experiment in a supportive environment that encourages growth, creativity, and community.

12:00–12:20 pm – Artist Introduction (20 min)

12:20–1:50 pm – Lectures & Demonstrations (1 hr 30 min)
Each artist presents a focused 20-minute session:
Beau Bledsoe – Income Streams; Leader vs. Collaborator
Guitarist, composer, and Artistic Director of Ensemble Ibérica. Beau has built a career balancing leadership and collaboration, with international projects spanning Spain, Mexico, Portugal, and beyond. He has recorded extensively and is known for fostering cross-cultural artistic connections.
Chris Dahlquist – Balancing Passion and Profit
Visual artist and creative strategist with over 30 years of experience. Drawing from her own artistic career, Chris uses her passionate pragmatism to help creatives build sustainable art practices through financial literacy and strategic planning. A disruptive thinker and generous guide, she has worked extensively as a mentor, consultant, and speaker, creating professional development opportunities for artists across disciplines.
Erin McGrane – Behaviors of a Successful Artist
Performer, writer, and educator with a multi-faceted career spanning music, theater, and film. Erin has toured internationally, released acclaimed albums, and is passionate about empowering artists with the mindset and practices needed for lasting success.
Trevor Turla – Integrating Your Practice with What You Listen To
Trombonist and composer from Wichita, KS. Trevor is known for his genre-crossing improvisation and deep curiosity about cultural identity in music. His work fuses jazz, funk, and world traditions, and he performs widely as both a bandleader and collaborator..
1:50–2:10 pm – Panel Discussion & Q&A (20 min)
All presenting artists share perspectives and answer audience questions.
2:10–2:30 pm – Snacks & Meet-and-Greet (20 min)
Informal mingling between artists, patrons, and Emerging Artist collaborators.
2:30–3:30 pm – Artists-Only Session (1 hr)
Patrons depart.
